Position Title: Jr/Sr High Principal
Reports to: Superintendent
Work Schedule: 0.5 FTE of 200 days or 1800 (9-hour days) based on 2026-2027 school calendar.
Compensation: Salary will be prorated based on FTE and experience, according to the District Administrative Handbook.
Central Linn School District is seeking a student-centered, instructional educational leader to serve as our Jr/Sr High School Principal; part-time. This role provides an opportunity to work closely with dedicated staff, engaged students, and a supportive community to strengthen teaching and learning for grades 7-12. We are looking for a leader who values relationships, supports strong instructional practices, and is committed to helping every student succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. The successful candidate will help cultivate a positive school culture, implement AVID schoolwide and support staff growth and student achievement.
Central Linn School District serves approximately 450 students across two campuses through a brick-and-mortar education setting, as well as two online programs, supporting the communities of Halsey, Brownsville, Shedd, and Peoria in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Our small-town community offers easy access to Corvallis and Eugene (30 minutes) and is within 90 minutes of the Oregon Coast and Cascade Mountains.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership for the Jr/Sr High School aligned with district goals and a vision focused on improving learning for all students.
- Support high-quality instruction by assisting staff in aligning curriculum, instruction, and assessment with state and local standards.
- Supervise, support, and evaluate licensed and classified staff, providing meaningful feedback to strengthen instructional practices.
- Establish a safe, inclusive, and positive school culture that promotes equity, accountability, and high expectations for all students.
- Collaborate with counselors and staff to support student academic planning, graduation progress, MTSS, and implementation of the master schedule.
- Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as needed and support systems that ensure students receive appropriate services.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, staff, and community members while maintaining strong school-community relationships.
- Use data and technology to inform decision-making, ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements, and report progress to district leadership and the School Board.
- Experience building CTE programs of study.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid Oregon Administrator License or the ability to obtain one.
- Experience in secondary education.
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of graduation requirements, college and career readiness pathways, and Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.
- Experience working in and supporting the unique needs of small or rural school environments.
- Experience implementing Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and promoting collaborative instructional practices among staff.
- Demonstrated commitment to student-centered leadership and continuous improvement.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, families, and community members.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to equity and ensuring all students have access to high-quality learning opportunities.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills to support effective and efficient school operations.
