JOB TITLE: Special Education Teacher (1.0 FTE)
REPORTS TO: Building Principal and Special Education Director
Central Linn School District seeks to hire a dynamic and engaging Special Education Teacher on a Temporary Contract. We value teachers who can build positive relationships with students, staff, and families, and also serve as effective members of our professional learning community. Central Linn School District serves about 450 students across two campuses, supporting the four communities of Halsey, Brownsville, Shedd, and Peoria. Nestled in the heart of the Willamette Valley, our district is surrounded by farmland, vineyards, hazelnut orchards, and the vibrant seasonal colors of the “grass seed capital of the world.” Our location offers the best of both worlds—within 30 minutes of Corvallis and Eugene, and just 90 minutes from the Oregon Coast or the Cascade Mountains. We’re also within two hours of Bend and Portland.
Required Skills
- Hold a valid Oregon Teaching license with the appropriate Special Education Endorsements or the ability to obtain a restricted license;
- Ability to establish positive relationships with students, staff, and parents;
- Committed to providing individualized education with high expectations for all learners;
- Differentiate or modify curriculum to meet the varying needs of students
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge about Common Core State Standards, PBIS
- Proficiency-Based Instruction/Grading
- GLAD/SIOP Trained
- Knowledge of Universal Design for Learning teaching practices
- Knowledge in Collaborative PLC Process
- Experienced in supporting high-needs students, including those with behavioral, academic, and social-emotional challenges.
Salary based on CLEA Licensed contract table. $45,102 - $92,764
